Understanding the Logistics of Your Modern Glam Living Room Set Purchase

Your dream living room is within reach with the Modern Glam 3-Piece Living Room Set. But what does purchasing and assembling this high-end furniture look like? This guide explores the delivery, assembly, and damage claim realities for US customers, focusing on the material's performance in diverse climates and local housing contexts.

Understanding Delivery Logistics

In the United States, furniture delivery can vary significantly depending on location. For the Modern Glam set, which includes a tall chest of drawers, a media console TV cabinet, and a round coffee table, the dimensions play a crucial role. Each piece is:

• TV Cabinet: 140 cm W x 50 cm D x 80 cm H
• Chest of Drawers: 80 cm W x 60 cm D x 130 cm H
• Coffee Table: 60 cm D x 40 cm H

The shipping weight of each piece is approximately 30 kg, which can impact delivery methods. For apartments, consider if your building's elevator can accommodate the pieces, while for suburban homes, access to the house and narrow hallways may be a concern. The average delivery cost ranges from US$200 to US$400, depending on your location and the delivery service provider.

Delivery Services: Your Options

Options include:

• White Glove Delivery: Offers full-service delivery, including unpacking and placement of furniture inside your home. Expect this service to cost approximately US$300-500 more than standard delivery.
• Curbside Delivery: More cost-effective, with the furniture left at the curb. It's then your responsibility to move the items into your home and assembly.

Ensure to schedule delivery well in advance, especially during peak shopping seasons. Companies like FedEx and UPS offer delivery options tailored to furniture, but also consider local furniture stores like MIDHILL that provide specialized delivery services.

Assembling Your Modern Glam Set

Assembling the Modern Glam set is manageable for most DIY enthusiasts, but it can be a two-person job. The TV cabinet and chest of drawers come with instructions, but the coffee table requires some precision fitting of the legs.

The process typically takes between 1 to 3 hours, depending on your familiarity with furniture assembly. Here are some tips:

• Have the tools ready: A hex wrench and screwdriver set are usually required.
• Read the instructions carefully before starting.
• Take your time; ensure all parts fit securely.

For those who prefer not to DIY, MIDHILL offers assembly services for an additional fee, usually ranging from US$50 to US$150 per piece.

Handling Damage Claims

In the event of damage, act promptly. Contact the delivery service within 24-48 hours to report the issue. Here's how to proceed:

• Document the damage with photographs.
• Keep all packaging materials for return shipping if required.
• Coordinate with the manufacturer or delivery service to schedule a replacement or repair.

The manufacturer provides a 1-year warranty for any material or workmanship defects. However, for accidental damage during shipping, the liability often lies with the delivery service.

Climate Considerations

Contemporary furniture like the Modern Glam set, made with a piano-lacquer finish and champagne gold metal accents, needs careful handling in diverse US climates:

• In humid climates (like much of the southeastern US), be cautious of humidity levels affecting the wood. Keep your living room well-ventilated and avoid direct sunlight to prevent warping.
• In drier regions (like the western states), the finish should withstand lower humidity, but regular dusting and cleaning can preserve its sheen.

For any concerns regarding climate-specific care, consult the manufacturer or MIDHILL experts who are familiar with the local housing realities.

Final Thoughts

The Modern Glam 3-Piece Living Room Set is an investment in comfort and style. With proper delivery logistics, assembly, and care, your living room will become a luxurious focal point. Remember, while delivery and assembly might require a bit of planning, the final outcome will be well worth it, providing you with a space that reflects your contemporary lifestyle.
